With the simulation fully validated, the focus shifted to the physical prototype. This week the hardware was assembled and wired up on the bench, and all tests were carried out on real radio links.
The testbed uses three GL-AR300M16-Ext routers running OpenWrt with Babel configured for IPv6 mesh routing. The tests covered Babel convergence behaviour and end-to-end PTT voice delivery under the same acceptance thresholds defined in simulation (≤30 ms jitter, ≤5% packet loss).
A full breakdown of the results will be shared in the next post.
